To safeguard our campus, CARE has developed a comprehensive online referral form to share appropriate information, so students can receive or stay connected to the academic support and student wellness services they need. All Lobos play a vital role in the support, CARE and safety of the UNM Campus.

The UNM Student CARE team’s role is to offer comprehensive support to UNM students. The UNM CARE team is guided by SAMSAH’s 8 Dimensions of wellness to ensure that students are successful not only in the classroom but in their day to day lives as well.

The Student CARE Team is a collaboration of many different departments. The departments include but are not limited to, the Dean of Students Office, LoboRESPECT Advocacy Center, Women’s Resource Center, Student Health and Counseling, Student Activities Center, African American Student Services, El Centro de la Raza, American Indian Student Services, Asian American Pacific Islander Resource Center, the LGBTQ+ Resource Center and many other student-focused departments.

The Student CARE Coordinator is available to support staff and faculty who may be navigating difficult and complex student situation. This may include concerning behavior, classroom management, and overall concerns about a student’s well-being.
